Many Ultra HD Blu-ray players have two HDMI outputs. One combines audio and video and uses HDCP 2.2, while the second is audio-only and doesn’t use HDCP 2.2. If your TV is HDCP 2.2, you can run
Disc One. Watchmen: Director's Cut (HD, 186 min) — The second disc in the package is a Blu-ray copy of the director's cut from 2009, which was previously reviewed here. Maximum Movie Mode - This very cool feature enhances the best parts of the In-Movie Experience (IME) found in many of Warner's Blu-ray titles to create an entirely new experience.
Absolutely, if you have the money for it. Thanks. I live in Italy and for some movies there is a big difference in price. I'll wait and go for quality over quantity then. 4K Blu-Ray is the best way to watch movies. If I get a movie in another format, it’s usually just to save money.
HDR makes the difference - Into the Spider-verse is AMAZING on 4K. The 1080p Blu-Ray of Into the Spider-verse looks TERRIBLE compared to the 4K. Just get the 4K version for a couple bucks more, it’s worth it. cries I’m so sad now, I can’t refund the movie and I felt like such a badass to get the movie on Blu-ray.

While your Blu-ray player may output 4:4:4 signal for 4K24 content, the discs themselves are encoded in 4:2:0. 😊 4K discs having WCG and HDR often makes a big difference over standard blu-rays, even for 2K upscale digital content. I assume this is what you were thinking of.
If you just want to watch 1080p blu-rays there is no reason to get a true UHD player. Your TV does a fine job upscaling 1080P so theres no reason to get a 4k-upscaling player. I have a true UHD blu-ray player and some UHD discs are better than their BD counterpart but most are not. You need a high-end TV to notice the difference.
